MORNING Live viewers have complained about ‘annoying’ BBC presenters who, in the latest instalment, discussed the rise of scamming.

Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton fronted Thursday’s episode, where they welcomed Nick Stapleton, Dr Oscar Duke, and Maria Tsiatsiani onto the panel.

After the duo introduced the Morning Live show, a throwback clip of Gethin from back when he was on Strictly Come Dancing was played before they started discussing more serious topics.

With TV presenter Nick, the hosts talked about scams and how to avoid them.

Helen started the discussion by telling the audience at home: “There is no dancing around the fact that fraud remains the biggest crime in the UK, backed up by new figures from the Ofice of National Statistics.”

Nick then explained that the ONS conducted face-to-face interviews with more than 30,000 members of the public and gathered information on fraud crime in the UK.

He said that according to the figures, “3.2 million fraud offences occurred in the year up to September 2023”, with fraud accounting for 40% of all crimes committed in the UK.

The 36 year old also revealed that fewer than one in seven fraud offences are actually ever reported to the police due to stigma and fear.

As the episode kicked off, fans took to social media and criticised the morning show while blasting the presenters.

Taking to X(formerly Twitter), one user wrote: “Daytime TV is endless drivel – even as background noise, and don’t get me started about the presenters at any time of the day #NotTopOfMyPops.”

A second viewer penned: “#MorningLive, I see the presenters on here are annoying.”

While another added: “Jesus, this woman doesn’t come up for air. #morninglive.”

A fourth chimed in: “Morning Live is doing my head in, as per.”

Dragons Den star Sara Davies, who has appeared on the show multiple times before, showed viewers how to create Valentine’s Day cards suitable for other occasions.

Meanwhile Dr Oscar came on discussed Alzheimer’s and other health headlines.

Viewers were also treated to a dancing class by Argentine Tango Choreographer Maria.

Last week, BBC Breakfast and Morning Live stars clashed over a timing blunder during the programme crossover.

Sally Nugent and Welsh presenter Gethin Jones exchanged tense words as the morning news show gave a sneak peek at what was coming up.

BBC Morning Live is on weekdays from 9:30am on BBC One & BBC iPlayer.
